The restaurant was charming for lunch, I tried tasty dishes. the bathroom was clean, with a shower, a hairdryer, and bath sheets. Its location just a short stroll away from Essex Baptist Church was absolutely perfect.

The rooms were immaculate, neat with a double bed, ideal for us.

We were offered a double room complete with huge bathroom, a marvelous gas fireplace plus a great view. Location: the hotel was just next door to shops and the CT river front and supermarkets and quality bakeries.

This place is in an amazing spot, right by the Connecticut River Museum. 🌊

The Griswold Inn is a unique and quirky hotel located in a historic building, with amenities such as bathrooms, a fireplace, and a television in the double room. the breakfast offerings of coffee, tea, toast, yogurt, and hardboiled eggs were incredibly nice. the hotel has an excellent location close to the shops on main street and the center of the lovely town.

The staff were exceptionally kind and super friendly. the location was magnificent - really close to the shops on Main Street, taverns of the American Revolution, and all the shops and restaurants. It was also close to the marina.

I had a great one-night stay here, the staff was really friendly and helped me out with any problems I had.

Everything here was amazing. My room was comfortable, quiet, and functional. - the service was absolutely good. - the location was nice, within a close distance from a historic house museum. - It's close to the restaurant in years, the Connecticut River Museum, and the center of quaint.

The value for the money was great, and the room was fantastic. The location was perfect for exploring the town, and the staff treated us like royalty.

The breakfast could have been improved with more variety.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom and climate control were fairly clean, and the room included a radio and iron.

I had the most incredible stay at The Griswold Inn in Essex! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my requests, even moving me to a more spacious room with two comfortable chairs for reading. The room was bright, clean, and quiet, creating a peaceful environment. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food at the tavern, especially the mouthwatering potato pancakes. The historical charm of the inn made me feel like I had traveled back in time. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and unforgettable experience.
